# Digital Asset Ownership

**Why does Ownership matter?**

* Web2 games are stuck inside closed ecosystems, we believe that allowing our Community to own their key assets and make decisions on when they buy / sell is a basic benefit. 
* It can create new gaming experiences, and ways to earn and utilise assets across tribesters games (earn a character in one game, and play it in another Tribes game).
* Wanna upgrade your gaming experience to a new character, and sell your old one? No problems. It should really be that simple, and it is in web3. 
* In the future, we can also see the opportunity where our Community has built games, that they can then use the tribesters digital assets within. 
* AND, as we outlined in the Metaverse Moments, a fun way to bring your favourite little character with you throughout the metaverse.
